And now Chapter 15 Part 6

The second of the kav/line’s abilities is that it is called specifically the measuring rod, for it is specifically the kav/line that serves to measure all of the lights and vessels etc., defining their limits and setting clear bounds to separate one from the other. As was similarly mentioned previously regarding the concept that the kav/line is referred to as the builder’s measure (i.e. a measuring tape) etc.

This second ability is seemingly the opposite of the first ability of the kav/line namely the inclusion and union of the sfiros with each other. For, this inclusion and union represents a dismantling of the bounds and limits that separate one sfirah from the other, while the ability of the kav/line for measuring which is why it is called the measuring rod implies the opposite - that the kav/line is making the boundaries; so how can it be said that the kav/line removes the boundaries?

However, the truth is that both of these qualities of the kav/line are true, so that it is specifically the kav/line that both makes and breaks the boundaries between the sfiros; and not only is it possible for the kav/line to contain both of these qualities - on the contrary, they are actually interdependent. For, being that the source of this kav/line comes from the original power of the Essence of the Infinite Light as it precedes the tzimtzum (lessening) (as mentioned previously regarding the verse "From Your Light there is seen light," which was interpreted to mean that specifically "from Your Light" meaning the essence of the Infinite Light of G-d as it precedes the tzimtzum "there is seen light" meaning the light of this kav/line) and it is surely within the ability of the essential Infinite Light of G-d to make the inclusion and unions of all of the opposites within the entire hishtalshellus (chaining down), from the top of A"K [Adom Kadmoan; the First Man -the first arrangement of the ten sfiros in the from of a man, which is the first world after the tzimtzum] until malchus of Atzilus (kingdom of Emanation) . As per the statement of Tikunei Zohar about the ten sfiros that "You are the one who unites them and connects them... You are within them and beyond them etc.," which implies that the sfiros are united specifically by the power of the essential Light of G-d ("You"). This is likewise the concept of the statement "The name of 45 [; Ma"H -one of the variant spellings of the Tetragrammaton], which is the pathway of all of Atzilus etc." meaning that all of the sfiros of the world of Atzilus are united by the light of the name of 45, this name representing the self-effacement and nullification of the midos (emotions) to their source, which paves the way for the expression of Divine will within the Z"A [Zair Anpin; the small face, i.e. the "man" of the world of Atzilus, small in relation to the Midos of Chochmah and Kesser of Atzilus] and other similar statements in the Chassidic and Kabbalistic literature.
