And now Chapter 15 Part 2
This reshimu is a heyuli including everything that branches out from it via the kav u’chut [line and thread of light] etc. and even though the entire Light of the Essence of G-d is concealed within it until there only remains a sort of impression [reshimu] from the original Light, yet surely everything was included within it in a condensed manner through specifically this very tzimtzum, as discussed earlier. Even the fact that the reshimu indicates a lack of downward extension is not an indication of a total tzimtzum, where all light is completely withheld from the recipients. Rather, this lack of extension is only because this reshimu is in a manner of a heyuli power etc., as discussed previously and so, like any heyuli the reshimu does not spread out from its essence only because it is so completely essential that it is impervious to change and revelation, but not that it prevents an extension or revelation. Quite the contrary, it is specifically because the heyuli itself remains above extension out of its spiritual essence that it can serve as an infinite source for revelation, for its essential power and potential is in no way lowered or lessened by the revelations it effects.
Rather, being that the reshimu is the restraining force of the entire original Light, which restrains the original Infinite Light’s revelation in order to allow for the existence of limited created beings, therefore, the infinite potential that is latent within the reshimu will spread forth only via a carefully measured kav [line of light], which is specifically according to the manner of influence that the recipients will be able to receive, as discussed previously. So it is seen that the reshimu’s lack of extension and revelation is not to prevent the recipients from receiving the light, but rather to insure that they receive only as much as they will be able to receive without becoming nullified and through this limited light the recepients can grow to receive more and more.
