And now Chapter 11.04

What was explained until now was how the ten sfiros are included within the essence of the Infinite Light on the level of Yachid [Single],which corresponds to the first of the three levels in the process of revelation from the essence of the soul that were discussed in Chapter 10 and then the level of Echad [One], which corresponds to the second of those three.

The Mittler Rebbe will now proceed to explain the third level in the Infinite Light, the level of Kadmon [first; preceding, original, primeval], corresponding to the third level in the process of revelation of the soul’s powers that was explained in Chapter 10.

The third level is when, for example, this desire for kindness that already arose within His will and intellect etc. was prepared with the entire estimation in "letters" that where estimated within Himself as to what type of a manner of revelation this desire would have as an actual revealed influence on the creations, which are outside of His Essence. This being similar to the example of the power of movement, where it was prepared as far as how to move. Meaning that the person already estimated within himself exactly how hard each muscle would have to contract in order to make the desired movement, only that it was not made yet. The same is also true of the soul’s power of life force as it is prepared with the knowledge of how to enliven each of the body’s specific organs and limbs according to the type of life force that was already prepared in an estimated and limited manner, as was mentioned previously in regards to the concept of the third level in the soul of man.

Similarly, above this third level in the revelation of G-dliness, corresponding to the third level in the soul of man is this that G-d estimated within the essence of the Infinite Light, which is called the upper purity, as to the manner and measure that He wanted in the actual Hishtalshellus, from the revelation of the Kav [the line of light that first enters the "Empty Place" in order to create the world] until the end of the world of Asiyah (Action). This being the meaning of what is written "He engraved an Engraving in the Upper Purity," as was mentioned previously in the beginning of Chapter 10, and this stage within the Infinite Light is what is referred to as Kadmon [preceding; first]. Meaning this that G-d preceded within Himself an estimation of the manner in which He desired to express the Divine Influence, this estimation being before He diffused this Divine Influence in actual revelation and this is all still before the "first" Tzimtzum, which is referred to as the empty place and void, hollow etc., as was mentioned previously and these explanations will suffice for the understanding.

The Mittler Rebbe has now finished explaining the three stages within the revelation of the Divine Light as it exists before the Tzimtzum according to the analogies given in Chapter 10. Now the Mittler Rebbe will end off the Chapter by beginning to explain the next stage in the progression of the Hishtalshellus, the Tzimtzum (Lessening of the Light) itself as well as the "impression" [reshimu] of the original Light that was left over.
