This series is a continuation and should be read in order. If you are not familiar with previous posts you may have trouble understanding later ones.
And now Chapter 10.14
So, the first level is the ten powers as they are totally included in the soul.
The second level is the aspect of the ten soul powers as they are extended to be ready to come into revelation, though they are not actually revealed yet. Like, for example, when the essential Heyuli desire for kindness comes to desire a specific kind deed, before it came into fruition in actual deed and at this point there is not even thought of exactly how to do it. At this point it is only how it is ready and prepared to come to a particular thing, such as a particular course of action, that will realize this desire. These particulars were not worked out yet, only the desire for the end result. At that point it is fitting to apply the concept of the union of the many particulars of this desire. Such as the intellect and emotion that are within this desire for kindness, which emerge from the concealment of the general Heyuli etc.
In the analogy of the desire of kindness and so too with the desire for any other one of the essential attributes, this second level is the point where this desire is just a dream. Something that is desired, though there is not as of yet any thought of how it can be realized or even if it at all possible. Yet, at the same time included within this desire is the desire to do what ever it will take to bring this dream and desire into fruition. Including all of the intellect, emotion, thought, speech and action that will may be necessary. However, at the same time there is, as of yet, no thought about the specifics of all of these, only the resolution that all of ones faculties will be at the disposal of this desire, so that they are all included within one general will.
Likewise in the analogy of the power of movement, this second level is the point where there is already a desire for some kind of a movement, but there is not yet an estimation of how much force each muscle will have to apply in order to achieve it. For example, when teaching a child how to play basketball the child is immediately instructed to throw the ball into the basket and this is demonstrated by the instructor. The child now knows what movement to make, but will require much practice in order to have an accurate shot. The reason is that he still has to learn how hard to throw the ball in order to get it in the hoop, too hard or too soft and hell miss. Yet, once all of these specifics are learnt so that the child knows how to properly estimate the amount of force each muscle should apply and how to coordinate the movements properly so as to score a shot; then there is only the thought of the general movement that is to be made and all of the specifics are automatically included within it.
Similarly, with the analogy of the suns light, this second level corresponds to the general white light where all of the specific rays are included as one. The individual rays are not revealed until the sunlight shines upon something, which then absorbs some of its rays and only reflects back the remaining rays. So that for example, something that appears blue is absorbing the red and yellow rays of light and reflecting only the ray of blue light, something that appears green is absorbing the red light and reflecting the blue and yellow rays of light, while something that appears white reflects all of the rays of light and something that appears black absorbs all of the rays of light (this is why dark objects become hotter when under sunlight than objects of a lighter color, because they absorb more of the suns rays and at the some time more energy or heat).
