And now Chapter 10.12
Another analogy of inclusion within the source:
Such as how the light and ray of the suns light are included within the essence of the sun, that it contains within itself in a hidden way all of the particular sorts of emanated rays that come out from the sun itself.
The sun emanates a single white light, which is composed of many particular rays of light that are joined together within it as one. Within this white light it is possible to say that there exist separate rays of light of many different colors, only that they all come together to form a single whole, the white light. As is known, that white light is actually composed of equal parts of the three colors red, blue and yellow and conversely if one were to shine these three colors at one spot it would look white. Each of these colors, therefore must have been produced within the sun, as well as the heat rays and the rays that grow plants, each must exist within the body of the sun in some form for it comes from there. Yet, the sun itself is not light at all, but rather a giant ball of gas and its actual body is not made up of any type of light at all, not specific rays and not a general white light, only that it has the ability of producing these rays of light.
This can be seen clearly if by examining the nature of the sun and how it gives off light. The sun is an extremely dense hydrogen gas that is undergoing nuclear fusion and thereby transforming into helium. The tremendous amount of energy that is transferred from atom to atom in this process causes the electrons of each atom to become "excited" meaning that they revolve around the nucleus of the atom much faster than usual and as a result they also revolve in a higher orbit, farther away from the nucleus. This, however, is not a gradual process, but rather, the electron sort of spins faster and faster where it is until at an exact energy level it "jumps" up to a higher orbit. This amount of energy required to make this jump is called a quanta. However, the electron does not stay in this higher orbit for long, but at some point it falls back into its original lower orbit. When it does this it shoots off a particle called a photon equal in energy to the quanta that was required to make the original jump. Each elements electrons have different orbits and some are excited quicker than others. These differences give these photons different frequencies and each frequency is a different type of electromagnetic ray. These rays include cosmic rays, gamma rays, radio waves, micro waves, x-rays, and also light waves; the visible spectrum of light consisting of a tiny fraction of these frequencies. Of these rays the most important ones that we receive from the sun are those of visible light - from red to purple, according to the colors of the rainbow, as well as the invisible ultra violet rays, which is largely responsible both for heating the world as well as the growth of plants.
The ratio of each of these types of rays differ according to the light source, so that incandescent light bulbs give off much heat, while as fluorescent light bulbs give off almost entirely visible light with very little heat. Also the exact color of the light that comes from different light sources is also slightly different. These differences all result from the differences in the light source, according to the electron structure of the element that is producing the light. Therefore, it is understood that all of the specific light rays that are produced from the sun are a result of the specific nature and electron structure of the elements of which the sun is made. So in a way the sun includes within itself each and every specific ray that it can produce, each being a distinct part of its luminary ability. Yet on the other hand, as was explained previously, these specifics only exist as particulars of the nature of the sun itself, but there is no existence of light there at all; not particular rays of light nor even one general white light that includes them all together as one. In addition, the body of the sun has an existence independent of the fact that it illuminates, it is only that the ability of illumination is also included within its essential nature.
It is thereby understood that each of the specific rays that are produced by the sun exist in it and yet at the same time not as an existence of light at all, for its essential self is not at all light, not specific rays and not even a general white light. Therefore, it is not fitting to say that the different colors of light are united and included within each other as they are within the actual body of the sun, for there is no light there at all. This type of inclusion can only be applied to the white light that emanates from the sun or more essentially within the suns illuminative property, where it can be said that the nature of its electron structure includes the ability of producing all of the specific rays of light as one.
Aside from this inclusion of the light within the gaseous mass of the sun, there can also be found within the sun an existence of actual light, both the general white light and included within this all of the particular rays of light. For the sun emanates light from its entire body, including its inner core and so there also exists light within the sun itself, in the between the atoms of the sun. So too the revealed extensions of the soul all exist first within the soul itself, both how they are as a general desire or life force as well as all of the specifics of how they come into particular revelation.
This is all also the case with other similar examples and these explanations will suffice for the understanding.
