And now Chapter 10.11

Until now the Rebbe explained how the life force and all its separate powers are totally included in the essence of the soul to the point that they have no separate existence at all.

However, once it is prepared and ready to come into actual revelation, at that point within the life force it is already possible to have a union and inclusion of seeing and hearing with each other, and so too with the other similar powers of the soul. Only once the life force of the soul is being prepared for revelation and extension to the outside does its actual division into specifics begin and at that point is the first time that it can be described in such terms. Only that even then all of the powers necessary for enlivening the body come out together as one general life force that is composed of the many particulars. However, before this point, as the life force was still included completely within the essence of the soul and at that point it was as if there did not exist an extension of life force in any way at all; as regarded by the essence of the soul, which is much higher than extension. For the essence of the soul, relative to its revealed physical powers, is completely infinite and simple, devoid any relationship to the limitations of the physical body and world. Even the spiritual life force that enlivens the body is considered base, dark and severely limited when compared to the soul’s pure essential state. There its abilities truly have no limit to their potential, able to experience an infinite many things that do not exist at all in this world. An infinite many colors, and infinite many sounds, and infinite many ideas and an infinite many things that we could never imagine with our physical brain. This is all because the soul itself is completely removed from the limits of any specific form of self expression. Only that it also included within itself the ability of extension and expression, but as was explained before, this is only a function of the perfection and infinity of the souls essential abilities. Meaning that being that the soul’s powers are infinite they are therefore not limited by physical expression, but therefore, they can also find infinite physical expressions. As we see the case tangibly that from the soul’s part, there is no limit to the soul’s ability to express itself in the body, only that this must come in accordance with the bodies limits. Just like the essence of the life force includes within it the power of movement only being that it essentially alive and therefore it can enliven any part of the body, this ability automatically including the power to move it if its construction allows it to be moved, as was mentioned previously.

If so, to speak in such terms of a union and inclusion of the specifics of the light and life force of the soul is fitting only in respect to how the soul’s life force is destined and prepared to come to extend life force with divisions of specific life forces. From this we are forced to say that all of the these specifics that exist in the revealed extension of vitality, existed within the essential ability of extension that was included within the essence of the soul even before it came into revelation or extension; for, if this was not the case then where did all of these specifics in the revealed extension of vitality come from? In other words, being that we see that all of these specifics come out of the soul they must have been there with in the soul in some way, or else the soul would not be able to bring them into revelation.

In order to better understand this relationship the Mittler Rebbe will use a different analogy.
